Workshops
To be interested in a fine wine is to pay homage to the thousands of hands and hundreds of hearts that have worked the earth and tended the vines to enable this treasure to take form and delight your tastebuds.
Our instructive and enjoyable Workshops, on themes that appear in our Museum of Arts and Crafts of Vines and Wine, will open new horizons to you.
You will learn about the vocabulary of wine, the wealth of our terroir and traditions, and how to identify and describe aromas and your own tasting sensations.

Tonnelier Workshop
Learn about the influence of the Barrel on wine, and our skills, though three experiences:
A visit to the Tonnellerie section of our Museum of Arts and Crafts of the Vine and Wine, accompanied by our guides who will explain all the different stages of barrel making.
An explanation of the work with barrels during the technical visit to our vatroom and cellar.
Tasting of two wines to identify the influence of the barrel on the wines, accompanied by a platter of local produce.
At Maucaillou we are strongly attached to tradition, and so we take pleasure in offering a glass engraved with the arms of the Château for you to take home.
This visit lasts around 2 hours.
Tarif depending on the number of participants, from 30 euros.

Grapes and Blending Workshop
Discover the specificities of each of our grape varieties, through three experiences:
Discover our three grape varieties during a walk through the vines with one of our dedicated guides.
Return to the cellar to identify each variety at a tasting, during which you can compose your own blend to make your own wine.
Then meet the challenge of identifying which of these three grape varieties has been used in the chocolate that has been specially made for the tasting. Enjoy!
